She also is a Board Approved Supervisor in the state of Minnesota and North Dakota and oversees Birchwood Therapeutic Services clinical training program. Ashley enjoys nature, crystals, reading, and being a tiny human mama. In her free time, you can find Ashley with friends, gardening, or trying to learn a new hobby (which often go unfinished). Counseling Approach and Clinical Focus: Over the past 15 years, Ashley has dedicated her career to supporting families affected by domestic violence and survivors of abuse. She is trained in DC:0-5 and has extensive expertise in trauma and attachment. Ashley has also completed Maternal Mental Health Intensive Training through Seleni, equipping her to treat Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, as well as Perinatal Loss and Grief. It's okay to not know what to do, or to react in a way you're embarrassed of. What's important is what you do with that insight and how you choose to grow. Challenge old belief systems and step into your power. You have always been powerful, now it's time for you to see it! Brenda Weiler of Ecce Yoga

Yoga Instructor and Group Facilitator

I opened ecce yoga studio in 2008 in downtown Fargo. After holding space for ten years on Broadway, ecce yoga relocated to a beautiful new space in 2019. I’ve been practicing and studying yoga since 2002. I discovered yoga while living in Minneapolis, MN and continued studying after moving to Portland, OR, where I met my teacher Casey Palmer of Near East Yoga. I completed my 200 hour training in 2010 and have done additional trainings with De West (Prenatal & Therapeutic) ), Judith Lasater (Restorative) as well as Matthew Sweeney (Ashtanga), Matthew Sanford (Adaptive), and Asha Wolf (Yin). I completed a doula (birth partner) training in 2014. As a professional touring singer-songwriter for over 12 years and an activist for suicide prevention for over 17 years, yoga helped to ground me and keep me well in body, mind, and spirit. It has been a constant in my life through joy, loss, grief and change. I feel blessed and honored to hold the space at ecce for others to do their practice and to grow, heal and connect in community.

Caroline McGuire

Yoga & Ayurveda Teacher

Owner of CJM Yoga, Caroline has been practicing Yoga for since college and teaching since 2018. Caroline has continued her commitment to Yoga and Ayurveda routines through her own journey of pregnancy, postpartum and motherhood in these past years. Caroline is dedicated to deepening her practice of Yoga, Ayurveda, Jyotisha, and other Vedic systems of understanding. She studies primarily with Kaya Midlin (Yoga with Kaya) and Shantala Sriramaiah (Veda Studies), whose lineage and teachers are listed on their websites. Presently, Caroline teaches regular Yoga classes at the YMCA of Cass & Clay Counties, Family Wellness and out of her home studio in Fargo, deemed “The Yoga Room.” The education that she provides honors the cultural foundations of the teaching and challenges her students to transform their practice by observing healthy movements of the spine

Cassandra Brausen

Spiritual Coach, Shamanic Practitioner & Teacher, Yoga Teacher, Reiki Practitioner & Soon to be Microdose Facilitator

My Story My name is Cassandra Brausen and I am the creatrix of Earthly Essence. The story of how Earthly Essence began is really with my personal story. I went through some traumatic experiences where I literally lost pieces of my soul. My light no longer shined, and I was ready to give up completely. One day, I had a near death experience and I got a message from spirit, “This is not your true path.” I realized in that moment that there has to be more to life than this and that I had the power to choose. From there, I began to focus on my well-being as a whole. Bringing my mind, body, and spiritual health to the forefront in my life. On this journey I learned many holistic techniques & tools to help me better myself. I went inward and really started the hard work of healing from the inside out. It took a few years and much trial and error but I finally overcame the state of darkness I was in. Healing is not a destination, as I continue healing each and every day. However, through the practices I have learned, I am able to live more wholly and in alignment with my soul's purpose. I found that purpose to be to share with others the Earthly Essence Experience. That is, to provide them with tools to help them in their own journey, and to align themselves with their purpose. It is not just a service, it is a way of life. One that I am honored to share with you. The Earthly Essence Experience At Earthly Essence we believe in providing a mind, body, & spiritual experience for all. Bringing one closer to their soul purpose, and closer to nature than ever before. Earthly Essence was created to help support those who are on a spiritual journey and looking to live a healthy and full life. I understand that support looks different for everyone. For some it may be through guided meditations, yoga, magickal practices, or other healing modalities. For others it may be through spiritual guidance and coaching, healing from trauma, or transmuting the shadow self. In addition to teaching and guiding I also host two retreats. One is called Empower Your Inner Goddess Retreat where women gather to reconnect with their inner wisdom, rise in sisterhood, and awaken the goddess within. Through heart-centered yoga, earth-honoring rituals, and soul-nourishing practices, we create space for deep healing, embodiment, and transformation. Rooted in the rhythms of nature and guided by intuition, we celebrate the divine feminine through movement, stillness, and sacred connection—returning home to ourselves, to each other, and to a vibrant, supportive community. The other is a Shamanic focused retreat merging the masculine and the feminine for those looking for that next level of healing. I am also currently working on becoming a Certified Microdose Facilitator and will soon be able to offer harm reduction coaching and integration, so stay tuned for that! Some of the other experiences I offer are yoga classes, spiritual coaching, shamanic healings, Introduction to Core Shamanism classes, advanced spiritual practices, and group healing ceremonies. My Training & Modalities Bachelor of Science Degree in Education Certified in Core Shamanism Certified Reiki Practitioner RYT-200 Retreat Coordinator Soon to be: Certified Microdose Facilitator

Danielle Nelson

Functional Medicine Pharmacist

After years behind the pharmacy counter, I began to feel like something was missing. I watched patients pick up prescriptions month after month—often without real progress—and I couldn’t shake the feeling that we were just putting a Band-Aid on deeper issues. That’s what sparked my journey from PharmD to Functional Health Practitioner. Now, I help individuals who are tired of feeling exhausted, bloated, and unheard—people who know there has to be a better way to feel well but don’t know where to start. I help them get to the root causes of their health struggles through personalized plans that focus on gut health, inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, and sustainable lifestyle changes. The results? More energy, clearer minds, improved digestion, fewer symptoms, and the confidence that comes from finally understanding what their body needs to thrive. In addition to working 1:1 with individuals, I partner with employers to offer personalized corporate wellness programs that go far beyond basic step challenges or one-size-fits-all seminars. These programs support employees in creating real, lasting change—leading to healthier, more engaged teams and reduced absenteeism and healthcare costs. It’s a win-win: companies provide a truly invaluable benefit, and employees feel seen, supported, and empowered. I also mentor other health professionals interested in building cash-based services that deliver results and create deeper value for their patients and clients. Outside of my work with functional medicine you can find me volunteering for 4 Luv of Dog and the Great North Pole. I enjoy spending time with my significant other and our dogs, relaxing at home and exploring the country. I’m passionate about connecting with fellow professionals who believe that personalized, root-cause medicine is the future. Let’s collaborate to bring better outcomes—and better lives—to the people we serve.

Dr. Rachel Faleide

Nurse practitioner

My goal in designing this clinic was to thoughtfully combine two of my favorite areas of medicine: obesity medicine and women’s health, with a strong emphasis on menopause hormone therapy. We strive to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care to all genders without unnecessary barriers or excessive cost. We intentionally design our services to be accessible to patients across the state, offering flexible, personalized appointments that fit real lives. Most importantly, we celebrate progress in all its forms—free from the constraints of corporate medicine—so patients can focus on sustainable health, not arbitrary rules or checkboxes.

Elli Feist with Empower Mind, Body, Soul

Somatics Coach, Introspective Breathwork Facilitator, Mindset Coach, Inner Child Healing Coach, & Olympic Weightlifting Coach

My name is Elli Feist. I am a Somatics Coach, Introspective Breathwork Facilitator, Mindset Coach, and Inner Child Healing Coach. My journey began with reshaping my language and upgrading my mindset, which led me to Inner Child Healing under TCS. There, I explored the process of unlearning patterns I inherited from my parents and uncovering the limiting beliefs I had been taught. As I deepened my self-work, I discovered the incredible power of Somatic Movement and Introspective Breathwork—both of which transformed the way I move energy and connect with my body. Now, I guide individuals through their own healing journey, starting with Mindset, then moving into Somatics/Breathwork, and finally reintroducing them to their inner child to help them reparent themselves. I’m also certified in Sound Bathing and hold space as a Women's Circle Facilitator. On the fitness side, I am the Head Olympic Weightlifting Coach for Rock Steady Barbell, Group Class Instructor and a Personal Trainer. I love working with women, helping them embrace their bodies, unlock their hidden strength, and fall in love with every part of themselves.

Emily Jones

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Emily started in social work because of her time as an active duty Army spouse, having lived in a few different places, including a short stint in South Korea!  She stumbled into therapy as a career because she was having a hard time connecting with most therapy services that she ran across. She had worked in a child protection for the state of Kansas and providing mental health and chemical dependency services at a medical hospital for both inpatient and emergency room settings. During graduate school at the University of North Dakota she was shocked to discover...she likes working with teenagers! Thus beginning the journey of service to adolescents through the inpatient and partial hospitalization programs at a local mental health hospital. After a couple of years she transitioned to outpatient therapy services in an agency setting.  Still, she was having a hard time, feeling stifled and constrained. So in 2019, she went out on her own and hasn't looked back!   Emily is specifically trained in EMDR and TF-CBT. She also provides interventions through CBT concepts, mindfulness practices, and a bunch of other integrative and creative approaches to therapy!

Hannah Bettenhausen

Business Coach Fractional Integrator

My unique journey began with a childhood shaped by global experiences (Zaire, Africa, and Quebec, Canada) and a family immersed in entrepreneurship. Witnessing my father build ventures from the ground up sparked a lifelong passion for helping businesses thrive, across industries like automotive sales, retail shops, cafes, and service-based businesses. After years spent honing my skills in operations, leadership, and strategic planning at a Ford dealership fueled my understanding of what makes businesses soar (and sometimes struggle). This experience propelled me to a COO role at BCrew Enterprises, where I spearheaded multiple successful ventures. In 2023, I launched 654 Business Strategies to address the common challenges businesses face: operational inefficiencies, leadership gaps, and the disconnect between vision and reality. We craft personalized roadmaps to success, helping businesses of all sizes – from startups to established players – streamline operations, build high-performing teams, and achieve measurable results. My passion goes beyond numbers: I'm your success architect, fueled by a genuine desire to elevate and inspire. Jenna Nelson

Holistic Aesthetician

Hello, welcome to my bio, I’m Jenna! Owner and operator at Acute Aesthetics. I have been practicing aesthetics and licensed since 2016 through the North Dakota state board of cosmetology. I offer a range of services including full body waxing, event makeup and skin services. When I opened my practice in 2022 I knew I needed a whole body approach because skin care isn’t just about topical products. Once I ventured into what practicing from a holistic lens entailed I then pivoted to understanding the skin, nervous system and lymphatic system as an ever connected loop. Integrating reiki and facial reflexology into my facials with the whole body approach has been deeply healing and restorative. This is only the beginning, and I’m so excited to find what I will discover and integrate next!

Jenny Gamer, L.Ac

Acupuncturist

As a new member of the Fargo–Moorhead wellness community, my work as an acupuncturist is about more than resolving symptoms. With 30 years of hands-on healing experience- starting as a massage therapist in 1995, I support individuals in addressing pain, stress, and chronic conditions while also contributing to a broader vision: a healthier, more resilient culture in our region. I specialize in chronic pain and mood issues, but working an hour south of the Twin Cities, I have treated it all! In the past, some of my greatest clients have been farmers, construction workers and professional women with the stress of high powered jobs mixed with commuting. I’ve helped couples conceive and helped with end-of-life palliative care. I’d love to help you, too! I believe wellness is strongest when it’s shared. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine fit seamlessly into an integrative model of care, working alongside massage, chiropractic, counseling, nutrition, and other holistic practices. Together, we create networks of support that go beyond single treatments — weaving health into the everyday lives of our community. Whether it’s through acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, or myofascial meridian work, I aim to provide not just relief but also balance and restoration. For those seeking trusted referrals, I welcome collaboration with fellow practitioners in building a culture of wellness in Fargo–Moorhead.

Jessica Zdenek

Yogini Oracle Priestess

I’ve been teaching yoga for the past ten years (a student for 23 years), enjoying the bhakti path of singing mantras, and studying the Holy Womb purification practice with Swami Sri Kaleshwar. I support people through my spiritual business Taraloma Earth Temple where I offer private yoga instruction, oracle card readings, hand-drawn natal astrology charts, energy healings, and intuitive readings. I also speak and sing around town on occasion. I have birthed three kids, bonus mom, mom of cats and guinea pigs, and wife to a computer whiz. I’ve authored three books through Taraloma Earth Temple Publications: Detoxing God is a memoir where I work through being raised in a conservative Christian military family, and how rediscovering the Goddess helped me through childhood trauma. My most recent book, The Circle of the Fall, Scenes from a Cosmic Tale, is a Greek styled imaginary adventure through time. And Paper Cranes is my first book of poetry.

Jodi Monk

Becoming You Coach

I’m Jodi, and I support driven women who feel like they’ve lost themselves under the weight of burnout, anxiety, and everyone else’s expectations. If you’ve been keeping it together on the outside but feel like you're unraveling on the inside, you’re not alone, and it doesn’t have to stay this way. My own healing journey through chronic illness, emotional exhaustion, and self-abandonment led me to create an approach that combines functional medicine, somatic practices, and mindset coaching. Together, we look at the deeper roots - not just the symptoms - so you can feel like yourself again and finally feel safe in your own body. Through private coaching, group programs, and live experiences, I help women regulate their nervous system, rebuild trust with their body, and step into the calm, powerful presence they’ve always had within them.

Kayla Bachand

Nurse Practitioner and CranioSacral Practitioner

Hi, I’m Kayla Bachand, Nurse Practitioner and founder of Lavender Health & Wellness. I’m passionate about supporting men’s and women’s health through personalized care, holistic therapies, supplements, and hormone optimization. Having struggled with hormonal imbalances my entire life—from irregular periods as a teen to a later PCOS diagnosis—I understand how frustrating it can be to do everything “right” and still feel off. Through education, guidance from a holistic practitioner, and therapies like thyroid optimization, progesterone support, and blood sugar balancing, I finally began to feel better—and it inspired my passion for helping others with similar struggles. With over 80 hours of specialized training in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) and ongoing certification, I now help patients regain energy, balance, and vitality. At Lavender Health & Wellness, we combine CranioSacral Therapy, targeted supplements, and BHRT to support the nervous system, restore hormonal harmony, and create a truly individualized wellness plan. I founded this practice for those who have been dismissed or told “everything looks fine.” Whether you’re a teen, adult, or older adult struggling with symptoms, my goal is to help you feel balanced, grounded, and well—from the inside out.

Mental Health & Substance Use Counselor

Hello! I am the founder of LiveWell Counseling Services. I first entered the helping field over 10 years ago, and since then have added many years of experience and specialty in working with difficult life transitions, chronic stress, divorced adults and families, codependency, unhealthy relationships, self-esteem, body image, teen issues, trauma, and coping mechanisms such as substance use and overeating to name a few. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Attachment Theory, and several other holistic approaches to treat mental health and addictive behaviors. Through my own personal experiences and healing, I understand how hard it can be to ask for help. My goal is to create a safe and comfortable place for anyone I work with to process deep sh*t (just being real) and grow towards their very own version of "living well." Nicole Hedlund Sommers

Founder & Studio Director of Jazzercise Fargo Vibe Fitness

When I was 20, a friend took me to my first Jazzercise class, and I knew I'd found my place from the moment I entered the room and the music started. Two years later I became an instructor, and that energy and buzz became my constant - in Florida during my Disney Culinary Apprenticeship, while I owned a pastry shop in Colorado, and even while pregnant with twins. Moving back to Fargo/Moorhead, there was no Jazzercise where I could teach, so I opened Jazzercise Fargo. For 8 years we held classes at the skating rink, the Pracs building, a dance studio, and even a coffee shop. As I searched for a location, I realized the need for a space where other fitness professionals could share their passion and people in the community could come together to move and connect. Inspired by the concept of Body Vibe, from the book "The Bone Broth Breakthrough" — your Body Vibe is something that lights you up, gives you energy, makes you feel strong, confident, sexy and beautiful - that is exactly what Jazzercise has been for me for over 30 years. With that thought in mind, Vibe Fitness was born. We bring the energy, fun, and strength through dynamic group fitness experiences like Jazzercise Fargo, while also empowering Fitness instructors and health and wellness professionals with a beautiful, collaborative studio space to grow their influence, impact, and business. This is where movement meets community—and where wellness thrives together.
