Allison Grippe, a 500hr certified yoga instructor and the visionary behind North Fargo's YUJ Yoga Studio, leads a life rooted in compassion and community. She recently completed her trauma-informed yoga teacher training and is on a mission to make yoga more accessible in the Red River valley.

I opened ecce yoga studio in 2008 in downtown Fargo. After holding space for ten years on Broadway, ecce yoga relocated to a beautiful new space in 2019. I’ve been practicing and studying yoga since 2002. I discovered yoga while living in Minneapolis, MN and continued studying after moving to Portland, OR, where I met my teacher Casey Palmer of Near East Yoga. I completed my 200 hour training in 2010 and have done additional trainings with De West (Prenatal & Therapeutic) ), Judith Lasater (Restorative) as well as Matthew Sweeney (Ashtanga), Matthew Sanford (Adaptive), and Asha Wolf (Yin). I completed a doula (birth partner) training in 2014. As a professional touring singer-songwriter for over 12 years and an activist for suicide prevention for over 17 years, yoga helped to ground me and keep me well in body, mind, and spirit. It has been a constant in my life through joy, loss, grief and change. I feel blessed and honored to hold the space at ecce for others to do their practice and to grow, heal and connect in community.

Owner of CJM Yoga, Caroline has been practicing Yoga for a decade and teaching since 2018. She received her 235-hr teacher training from Devanadi School of Yoga and Wellness in 2018 and completed her 85-hour prenatal teacher training from Blooma in 2019, both located in Minneapolis, MN. Since then, Caroline has differentiated her teachings across many studios, fitness centers, and healthcare organizations in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Emily started in social work because of her time as an active duty Army spouse, having lived in a few different places, including a short stint in South Korea!  She stumbled into therapy as a career because she was having a hard time connecting with most therapy services that she ran across. She had worked in a child protection for the state of Kansas and providing mental health and chemical dependency services at a medical hospital for both inpatient and emergency room settings. During graduate school at the University of North Dakota she was shocked to discover...she likes working with teenagers! Thus beginning the journey of service to adolescents through the inpatient and partial hospitalization programs at a local mental health hospital. After a couple of years she transitioned to outpatient therapy services in an agency setting.  Still, she was having a hard time, feeling stifled and constrained. So in 2019, she went out on her own and hasn't looked back!   Emily is specifically trained in EMDR and TF-CBT. She also provides interventions through CBT concepts, mindfulness practices, and a bunch of other integrative and creative approaches to therapy!

In 2012, Fallon attended 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga North, in Duluth, MN. This training taught her the importance of healing the body with somatic movements and therapeutic yoga. These modalities encouraged her to stay within her range of motion and progress responsibly in Hatha yoga poses. The way Fallon teaches yoga is with intuition, both her intuition as well as yours. She uses what she senses in you and then she teaches you how to listen within yourself to inspire a pathway for healing. Fallon’s teaching style is not what you may see on the cover of yoga magazines. She teaches you to work in, not to work out. Through somatic movements, hatha yoga postures, restorative yoga, and meditation Elemental Energy instructs students on how to relax and find joy in their bodies. In 2016 Fallon was the facilitator of the teacher training for the Yoga Center of Minneapolis at the Spirit Room. Teaching others to teach echoed her personal experience and reminded her of her purpose. This was a humbling experience that has allowed Fallon to teach with more compassion and wisdom, allowing her to be more present and supportive for your growth and well-being. In December 2020, Fallon received her Reiki 1 & Attunements. In January 2022, she received her Reiki 3 Attunement and became a Reiki Master. These Attunements allow Fallon to use Energy to encourage healing. Reiki uses energy to clear out negativity and blockages in one’s energetic field. Fallon can now attune others in Reiki 1,2,3, and Master Teacher levels. Elemental Energy offers energy healing sessions in person, or at a distance. Most Recently, in December 2023, Fallon was Certified as a Peer Support Specialist. This allows her to support those with Mental Illness, Addiction, and Brain Injury from a peer perspective.

After years of struggling to find his own voice, James has discovered his calling as an Intuitive Songwriter. James loves listening to the stories of people's lives and turning them into the songs of their dreams. An SLP by training and storyteller by nature, he is able to communicate complexity and nuance in a manner that is both artful and accessible. He has performed at artist receptions, weddings, galas, and conferences; always finding the words to capture the moment in a new and unique way. James has also navigated shifts in religious, occupational, and gender identities and can offer perspective for those who are experiencing spiritual awakenings and other life transitions. Jen Enz has a big passion for wellness! She discovered her passion for coaching others when she started teaching dance fitness classes. She quickly fell in love with teaching and inspiring others to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. She went on to become certified as a yoga teacher, personal trainer, Rossiter coach, and nutrition and wellness coach.  In 2021, Jen opened The Studio Wellness Collective, a holistic wellness studio in Downtown Fargo. She specializes in helping people manage their physical and mental wellbeing by recognizing and letting go of habits and patterns that are no longer serving them, then creating new habits that support their growth. She takes a very personalized approach, meeting each client where they’re at and walking alongside them on their wellness journey.  Outside of work, you can find Jen hiking or mountain biking through the woods, dancing, and finding endless adventures with her 6 kids!

I’ve been teaching yoga for the past ten years (a student for 23 years), enjoying the bhakti path of singing mantras, and studying the Holy Womb purification practice with Swami Sri Kaleshwar. Owner of Downtown Yoga Fargo and Lead Teacher of Peaceful Warrior Yoga School, Kim Hobbs lives, shares, and stewards the teachings of Vedanta- the path to oneness- with the guidance of her teachers through lineage based studies. Kim received 500 hours of yoga teacher training through Peachtree Yoga Center in Atlanta, Ga and has since committed her life to continue learning and sharing the practice of yoga.
